A wine of great class,
pure Sangiovese from centenary vines


Wine with an intense red color with garnet reflections, on the nose it presents complex notes of jam, pepper, vanilla, tobacco and cocoa; the taste is warm, enveloping with a great tannic component of excellent elegance and persistence.

RECOMMENDED PAIRINGS:
Important red meats, game and mature cheeses.

ZONE OF ORIGIN: Tuscany-Pisa
SOIL : Tendentially clayey with good presence of marine skeleton
VINES: 100% Sangiovese from centenary vines
VINIFICATION: The hand-picked grapes are then destemmed and softly pressed before being sent to special vertical roto-fermenters. tanks, the must is mixed with paddles in order to obtain maximum extraction one in addition to the separation of the stones responsible for aggressive tannins. The must is fermented using natural yeasts present on the grape skin, controlling the temperature and oxygen level inside the tank.
AGING: The wine rests for 6 months in tonneau where the malolactic fermentation takes place. Subsequently, it remains another 14 months in Slavonian oak barrels and another 5 months of refinement in the bottle before being marketed.
